Introduction to Comedy Improv Course
Location: The Irish Film Academy, Temple Lane South, Temple Bar, D 2.
Starting: Friday 13th April: 6pm
This is a series of five weekly, two hours workshops from 6.15pm to 8.15pm nightly. Course dates: April: 13th, 20th 27th, May: 4th, 11th
The course will introduce you to the fundamentals of improvisation. Using accents, genres, mime and basic everyday situations to develop peformance skills that will give you confidence as a performer. Through games and exercises you will get the chance to play with comedy and find your comedic strengths & weakness, plus have fun for two hours a week.
At the end of this course you will be familiar with comedy improv games and improv show structure, in the final performance showcase you have the oppertunity to perform to an audiance of friends and family. The shoewcase is included in the course and participation is encouraged but is optional.
No previous performance experience is required to participate in this course, please just wear comfortable clothing and be ready to have a bit of CRAIC!.
